That's what's being fought about in the Senate this week. Two sides have diametrically opposed ideas about what's in the best interest of the country.

Statesmanship is acting wisely and nobly in the best interests of the country,

Whereas the "moderates" are trying to smother the debate in the name of tradition and getting along.
