I hope you are right. I can't explain it otherwise. It baffles me that anyone would approve of the government running even the slightest risk of torpedoing the economy. Because it isn't an abstraction, just numbers in a history book or on a website. And it takes time to rebuild after an extended period of pain.

If all recessions were like the last one, no big deal. Heck, there have been times when we didn't have a recession and the unemployment rate was higher than then.
