The other part of local police forces are the regulated concealed carry permit holders. These people are also part of the 2nd Amendment local militias, under the control of local Govt. The good thing about these guys is they don't cost the taxpayer anything. And the statistics prove that they are just as responsible or more responsible in the use of their deadly weapons as the uniformed police. Thats why almost every state allows permitted concealed carry permits.
