My daughter loves scary movies- but only ones that deal with the supernatural. Since serial killers are real, she tends not to like those movies- and I can't say I'm sorry. After all the movies I really enjoy are classic lit brought to the screen- Vanity Fair, Merchant of Venice (and all the Shakespeare works put on film), Cousin Bette, Cold Comfort Farm, all the Austen movies (and praise be there are so many of them!), St Ives, all the James books brought to the screen, and all the Forster books... gosh so much good film! We are so lucky to live in an age of so many great entertainments, so readily available to us.
