So I guess you now agree that life isn't happy-go-lucky for a family of four making $50K I never said it was happy-go-lucky for anyone. You agree that they are one slip up away from bankruptcy? Depends on where they live, and how they manage their finances. I was just responding to your pollyanna posts about how well off the working poor are in this country. I never said things where great for the working poor. If things were great in a financial sense they wouldn't be called poor. $20k a year for a family of four is poor (even if it is slightly above the official poverty level), and isn't great or wonderful. I don't know how you take me saying $50k doesn't suck (without even a reference to it being the only income for a family of four), and turn that in to $20k total income makes a family of four "well off". It would seem that either your don't pay close attention, or you like to twist things around to make it seem like someone said something they didn't. You want to know what I think we should do to flatten the growing wage discrepancy in this country? OK fine what do you think we should do? Tim
