Not at all. It only suggest that life doesn't totally suck for them or if it does the fact that they make $50k isn't the only reason.

I never would say that people don't have the right to complain. If Bill Gates wants to complain about not having enough money he will look silly but he would still have that right.

I showed you that there were only 4 states with a median income at $50k or below.

So does life suck for the people in those states?

Below media income does not equal "life sucks".


You are right......I confused the poverty threshholds with Section 8 income parameters. In Seattle, a family of four making $50,100 is eligible for public housing; a family making $31,300 is eligible for the Section 8 vouchers.


Seattle is well above the average cost of living in the country, even if it isn't one of the top few most expensive cities.

I still contend $50k is a barebones income for a family of four.

In a lot of places it is, and in no place in the US is it comfortable. I just said it doesn't suck.
