The politics of a producer or actor is only important if they choose to make it important. Fir instance, I would never again do anything to put money into the pockets of the grotesquely offensive Whoopi Goldberg. Lucas had kept his head down until this movie. The news seems to be out too late to upset many people enough to stay away. Still, I will probably avoid paying to see nay Star Wars movies moving forward. I still had not seen the last one.
