They explained to me that the reason for filming in Canada has been to by-pass their union.

A friend of mine in the movie biz in India, says US is the last place she would prefer to have her movie filming - Cost over-runs are in excess of 200%. New Zealand, Switzerland and Canada are her preferred places.

The "Hollywood" unions have run everybody out. SAG is bad enough, but the teamsters are outrageous. I think the three most "hoodlum" locals are Las Vegas, LA, and Hawaii.
