Well stated. We will have to wait, however, until the next meeting of the Fed to see if a "pause" is indeed the next move in the "chess game".

One item to keep in mind is that just prior to Greenspan's last reappointment, his public remarks applied negative pressures on the then President, which upon his reappointment, suddenly became more supportive for the President's policies. Our current President now appears to be capitulating fairly early in the game for a reappointment.

It will be interesting to see if Greenspan's suddenly blunt statements on the state of "bubbles" will return soon to the more familiar misguidances.
