There is a world of difference between accepting homosexual sodomy as "OK" between consenting adults, and finding a "right" to engage in homosexual sodomy in the United States Constitution.

If you don't see that, it's because you, too, are one of the intelligentia/elite who believe that it's ok to force your superior beliefs on the Great Unwashed.

One word - legislatures.

Remember?

Law comes from legislatures.

What do you think holds the Democratic coalition of racial and ethnic minorities, environmentalists, gay rights activists, labor unions, academic intelligentsia, and the NEA together?

My guess: a belief in the morality and rightness of redistributionism. Oh, and of course, a hatred of the Republican party and its members.

Edit: Between us, have we forgotten anyone? Perhaps the average, middle class working family from a red state.

The Texas sodomy case was a libertarian decision, not a liberal one, though the two are often confused.

It was both.

Saying they should be able to do what they want if they aren't harming anyone is libertarian.

Saying they have a constitutional right to do so is liberal, or if you prefer "judicial activist".
