GW has finally admitted he wants to privatize SS. What this means is (and it's complicated but in a nutshell) that he wants to do away with safe government-run SS altogether and just make it a big IRA type thing, where if you're lucky and invest well, you make more, but if you're unlucky or the economy and market goes down the tubes, you can't afford to retire. Meanwhile, big Bush contributors like Merrill Lynch and MBNA make billions on commissions. This is what they really want. To rake off the billions and billions. Same strategy with Medicare, trying to hand it over to HMO's and drug companies with high profit margins.
