Forgive me but I am very weary of this discussion. I can't explain it any better than I have. I will add one thing, though. It would be really nice if some sensible senators sat down and talked through the candidates at issue to isolate just what the perceived shortfall really is and if the parties can reach a consensus, which would be explained to us, of course. The group that was looking for the compromise that would exclude a few of the candidates probably has that data. I'd like to hear a synthesis from them.
