If you don't agree that use of the filibuster by the Democrats is proper and don't agree with it, I am delighted to hear so. You certainly did fool me.

I never supported using the filibuster. I never opposed any of the nominees. And I never argued with the presumption that the President nominees should be given the benefit of the doubt. I opposed the attitude and the tactics of the majority.

If forced into a corner by the unwise and intemperate powers that be, I support the Dems using the filibuster.

This was my first post on the subject:

"I'll bet that there are lots of people, Republicans, even, who consider statesmanship the "right thing" rather than partisan wars of mutual destruction."

And I stuck to that theme. I don't think I'm doing anything to "fool" anyone. It's just that in this venue there is an unfortunate tendency to turn, by inference, one point of disagreement into sleeping with the enemy...
