Sure I do.

Think historically.

The Dems could have done away with it a long time ago, if they wanted.

The fact that it is being improperly used now doesn't necessarily mean that it has to go.

I'm an optimist, perhaps in spite of the evidence, and think that at some point both parties are going to come to their senses. In the meantime, we should not throw out the baby with the bath water.

they have lost control to work out differences.. too many support groups on far right and left that control their ability to get money for election. Today it's represent us or we will organize and get someone else to run against you for office. At one time a senator meant some authority today they are puppets.
