At times I convince myself that a new form of Fascism is being born right here, American Fascism. A solid marriage of government and corporations, with a strong military element. The "great man" changes every four or eight years, but otherwise very similar to past efforts.

Leanings? The Ba'ath Pary (in Syria and Iraq) was based on the Nazi party. Nasser and Sadat were members of the Egyptian Nazi party. The Germans wooed the Arabs in the 1930s, with outstanding success. The Mufti was an ardent Nazi.
