And from the local news today.....

Arabs angered over publishing of Saddam's 'humiliating' photos

gulf-news.com

Iraqis, foes and friends alike, were united in their anger over publishing intimate photographs of the jailed former president Saddam Hussain by a British tabloid and described it as "humiliating".

I wonder how many Kuwaitis are really upset?

At the same time, Al Jazeera refused on Friday to show pictures of Saddam in his underwear because it was not news.

For them head chopping is news.

This guy is not so united in his anger over the photos.

One shop owner thought however that Saddam deserves this humiliation.

"We Iraqis have a good heart. We're always willing to forget. But we should look back to the days of the Saddam regime, the years of humiliation and oppression," he said.

"He deserves what he gets," he added.

Ahh, they do put in the Kuwaiti viewpoint!

State-owned Kuwait Television said it did not and would not report the photos or show them.

"For us, Saddam is disgusting in his underwear or fully dressed,"

Go ahead, Ted, starting grieving for Saddam and his underwear...
