Terri Schiavo destroyed the religious rightwing. Everyone saw them during her vigil and even 50% of evangelicals were turned off. Meanwhile, Delay, Bush, Jeb, Santorum and Frist were all kissing those extremist freaks kneecaps, even going along with them in attacking conservatives judges. Instead, they want ultra radical activist judges who rip up the Constitution and replace it with Jerry Falwell's last sermon. In other words, they want to tear down our democracy.
