Meanwhile, what do you think of Taiwan being defended by Japan, USA, South Korea, Australia and perhaps some Eurostates? I think China might snaffle a couple of islands during the Feather Duster manoeuvres to assert their right and to get people used to some military action and outcomes. The question will be whether said islands are fought over like the Falkland Islands. I dare say the silly Argentines thought Britain wouldn't bother, after evaluating the fait accompli and the long way from home, small economic value and risk of disaster. Maybe Hu Jintao, Jiang Zemin and co are silly enough to think that the free countries won't remember Adolf taking a little bit of this and a little bit of that and where it led when not nipped in the bud. I hasten to add that nipped is not a racist expression, but Japan could do some of the Nipping. Do you dislike Japan and Japanese, or do you love them and just dislike their actions, or at least those actions of some of their ancestors in WWII and before? Do you think Tibetans love Chinese as much as you love Japanese? Mqurice PS: The whole idea makes me feel sicko! I would much prefer than everyone work on avoiding H5N1, which could make even a noocular war look trivial, and focus on buying phragmented photon cyberphones with QUALCOMM ASICs. Then all could live with peace, light, harmony, happiness, health, prosperity, longevity, fun and love. Like Australia and New Zealand, China and Taiwan could remain separate countries but trade, travel and enjoy each other's company. Oz and NZ don't threaten each other with conquest and weapons. It's odd that China is so angry and vicious, wanting to be the boss of everyone in Taiwan. Many people are leaving NZ for the better prospects in Oz. China could take over Taiwan in the same way if China continues to improve.
