Bush stole the 2000 election and never should have been president in the first place. Last year he also cheated, though we don't know enough about the Diebold machines to know if it would have wiped out a 100,000 vote difference in Ohio. Hitchins though writes than at least 30,000 dem votes were stolen in Ohio. We also know at least 10,000 Gore votes were stolen in Florida in 2000.

Beyond that, Bush has used fear and smear tactics, plus outright lies and war propaganda to stay in power. Instead of being held responsisble for allowing 9-11, he used it as a political club. Karl Rove may be a corrupt gay liar, but he's a very smart man. He knows how to play dirty and win.

Today only 43% polled approve of bush and 50% disapprove. His ratings have been sinking steadily and those republicans than want to get reelected will begin to distance themselves from him. Wouldn't it be ashame if the moderate republicans fail to vote with bill "kitty killer" frist to eliminate the filibuster and install bush's extremist judges?
