Yes, agreed -- but I guess it's the "in the meantime" part
that makes me feel depressed. Just like watching rampant
housing expansion and development. Although I believe there
will be a day when it will drop off, I doubt that will be
in my own time -- so perhaps that is enough reason not to be
worrying much about it (???), but in the meantime, all i see is
the destruction that seems to be happening in almost every
direction.

However, then you read stuff like this and wonder if there's
an even bigger story about to be played out:
