One of my closest friends is like that. He got the best education money can buy, as smart a person as you will ever meet, but he hates Clinton with a passion that knows no bounds and was a huge fan of GWB until I was able to prove to him that the Chimp was the head cheerleader at an all-male high school (now it is not the fact that Chimp lead us into a ludicrous war that bugs him, but the possibility that he is light in the loafers).

A lot of people look for a father figure in a president and they don't like the idea of daddy dipping his wick outside the home.

My friend has a Vince Lombardi framed photograph on his office wall which is all you need to know to figure him out. Some people just can't exist without an authoritiarian figure in their lives.

That's why people supported Hitler and Stalin, they weren't comfortable in an environment where people can do pretty much what they please.
