Geneva convention is all we got for formal wars. These type of insurgencies are different. Our folks seem to be making up new rules on the fly. Great model for the internet developers--not so cool as it regards treatment of captives who cant be classified as ordinary prisioners. Not easy stuff, despite the "moral outrage" of moveon.org or the flip repsonses of Rummy & co. Once the right is proved wrong, its time for the right to admit error and correct the mistakes. This admin seems to be more interested in being right than being right on. Mike

Anyway, if the Brit did it, that's their problem now.

Do u really think the rest of the world is going to analyze enough to say "Hey it was a brit not a yank" ?. IMO, NO way. We're gonna get blamed.

These incidents lead me to think that there is a communication gap, and I am not sure it can be bridged in the near term.
