Apparently you are somehow unaware that OBL declared war on us in 1998 & has reiterated it a number of times since then. That would be surprising for anyone who is active on the internet, follows politics & the news & seems to have strong opinions about President Bush. ...."Or more likely, that are fearless leaders are more afraid of what might happen if they told us the truth, and something snuck up on us anyway. Clearly it is more about domestic politics than it is about a "terror threat"." Can you substantiate those opinions? Please point me to credible evidence that can be independently verified that makes those opinions reality based. Or have you resorted to posting personal unsubstantiated opinions here?

How can America still be involved in a "global war on terror", when we haven't been attacked in a longer amount of time than it took us to fight World War II? Gee, I read almost everyday how troops are attacked and killed? news.yahoo.com So are you saying since Pearl Harbor happened in 1941, in 1945 WWII was unjustified because we hadn't been attacked like that for 4 years????
