Well, I am a big believer in preventative medicine. Actually, my understanding is that is one of the improvments in medicare that Bush got passed. ie I am told once you turn 65 and apply for Medicare the first thing you get is a complete physical and a health plan is laid out based upon that.
I also am a big believer in alternative medicines. I subscribed to Dr. Whittaker's stuff for couple years, read some books and some on line articles and laid out a plan for myself based upon my situation. As a result I take about 20 different roots barks and herbs every day as does my wife. Besides that I have taken a multiple vitamin, vitamin C, and E for most of my life. I cant say as if they work or not, but I look far younger then my same aged friends (I am 61 with hardly a gray hair on my head as an example). My personal observation of this stuff is that it does work, it has no side effects BUT it takes much longer then patented medicines, thus you must begin as soon as possible.
As to paperwork, Yep you are exactly right. I used to audit hospitals, my wife is a nurse in a hospital and the paperwork is INCREDIBLE, the MOST INCREDIBLE THING is that now that Hospitals are basically computerized hospitals JUST CANT GIVE UP THE PAPER so they run BOTH. In Drs offices they usually have an employee who JUST handles paperwork and insurance claims.. jdn
