The point is that the US is policing the infractions, investigating them, correcting them and prosecuting them. The fact is, the US seems to be almost alone in doing what you describe. the US has a policy to kill and abuse prisoners, when the US is the entity discovering the abuses and bringing them to public attention, is both absurd and ignorant. That is absurd and ignorant, yes.
