Experts Back Coking Gas
2005-5-17 8:52:40 CRIENGLISH.com

Experts have suggested China use coking gas to make up for the energy shortfall in the country.

An international conference on the use of coking coal beign held in Beijing has urged government departments to support research and development of coking gas.

China is the largest coking coal producer in the world.

Seventy billion square-meters of coking gas is produced each year in China but most of the gas is wasted.

Experts say coking gas has a high energy value and produces less pollution.

It can be used as fuel, chemical material and in iron smelting and synthetic oil.
