In Japan they have swords everywhere
In Singapore, they have them jungle slashers
But, yes, Singapore is doing very well, and somewhat under the thumb or fist of the state
Whereas in Japan, they just go nuts, go for the sword, but on self, or gas, on others, or alcohol, on everybody, to numb all, night after night

So, perhaps guns in the hands of the citizenry is a better alternative after all
