i guess you didn't get my point. in the English language, when you say "519 dead in Qinghai China", most people will assume you mean dead people. so, it is better to clarify by saying 519 dead birds. or 519 retarded birds if you prefer, although probably all birds are retarded when measured on a human IQ scale, so that term does not add much to the description imo. The birds are like canaries in a mine shaft. no, the birds are much larger than canaries, and they are outside, not in a mine shaft. there are other threads on SI where you can talk about mining. btw, how does it happen that your website is the only one which carries the story on goggle? where do you get your information.
