I agree with this: first impressions based solely on appearances are radically wrong (in my experience). Whenever I see a gent my age with a pony tail, I am tempted to look under it to see what it's hiding. Could be a horse's patootie. My prejudice. I know some great guys with pony tails, but only because I reserved judgment as you suggest. I think everyone should do that. However, I think people who go out of their way to look or act weird are just asking for trouble. Not everybody reserves judgment like I do, and they need to know that.
