not sure this is over yet.

Frist needs to push bush nominations through the senate. If democrats do not block further nominations then we all win going forward. If they block a judge republicans feel strongly about Frist has another opportunity to show if has the leadership to get the job done.

another block of a judge may move more moderate republicans to support nuke option . This latest agreement gives them cover back home with moderates to say i have done everything possible to compromise with democrats.

My husband was listening to Imus this AM, says George Allen was opposed to the compromise. Allen looks better and better to me all the time.

Warner's term is up in 2008! So there's no relief there.
