"Hey, if you are saying we need a stronger military, I'll polish your boots and be your best advocate." Get the polish Mike. "Tell me though, where do we get the soldiers?" I cant answer that. I thought the all volunteer force would be enough but this war puts the kabosh on that belief i suspect. Our military is being overworkded and abused by the folks who run things. Not fair to the volunteers but even worse, a deterrent to new volunteers. If i remember my views in earlier times, I think universal service beats the draft in terms of fairness and alternatives forms of service. But that is socialism of a sort and more expensive. What are your thoughts on the draft? I probably missed an earlier debate you folks had here. Mike
