Howard operated out of CCC. A tiny compound on the river just outside Kontum, which is between Pleiku and Dak To.

That is right where the SVN, Laotian and Cambodian borders come together...All of that is a helluva long way from the Cambodian coastline where Kerry told Russert he delivered guns to the Communist Khmer Rouge forces.
