I am no fan of the filibuster. It is part of senate rules and traditions and it seems to me that you just shouldnt be able to change rules with a simple majority as that will lead to a never ending series of rules changes. Question for you--when the cloture number was reduced from 67 to 60, was that done by majority vote or supermajority vote of some kind? If it was supermajority it makes my case--if simple majority than Frist was within his rights. Mike
