I meant to say, it's the triumph OF bigbusiness over fundamentalist fake christians in the GOP. There were 14 Senators who pushed this fight into the summer or whenever Rehnquist finally gives it up. That's not a very large group. They're also quite confused. Some are saying that the nuclear option is off the table while others are saying filibustering is off the table. Actually, both are simply postponed for a time when, hopefully, more Americans are actually paying attention. If the Dems are smart, they'll keep pushing for the vast majority of Americans who told Frist to knock off his baloney. They'll strengthen the opposition and have it put into cement before the Supremes vote. People are going to get sick and tired of 'up or down vote' and will throw eggs at anyone who keeps repeating it. Dems need to take advantage of this.
