There's quite a bit you can do for your family, ala earthquake kit. Add to that surgical masks, which will not be available when 6 billion people suddenly want one. Whatever the case, it won't be easy avoiding infection.

If there are activities that can be done at a political level that would make a difference, for example public policy changes or vaccine production that would help avert a crisis, then this forum isn't an effective ant hill to stir up.
