No, actually, that is not what I asked at all.

Here, again, for your edification or consternation, I don't know and don't care which, is the question I posed which you have not yet answered.

Do you know of any cases in which State restrictions on rights granted by the Bill of Rights were upheld by any court on the ground you cited, i.e., that the BOR did not apply to the States?

Simple question.

With your fine grasp of Constitutional theory and history [or perhaps an adept hand at the cut and paste function of your software] you surely can answer it without much of a problem. [Hint: You might wish to recall that States also have constitutions.]
