Bush has a 50% disapproval rating now, and even bigger disapproval ratings on major individual issues. The only thing buoying him a bit is his charisma. Otherwise, he's a total flop. The least popular second termer in 50 years.

Hopefully someday we'll find out if Bush really did get all those votes. Never before has a voting machine company also been a major contributor and supporter to of the candidates. A friend of mine spoke to Steve Wozniak who says those Diebold machines could easily be fixed or hacked by the Republicans if Diebold allowed it.

Re:
You don't get it by now that these are meaningless. At election time, he supposedly had a 48% approval rating, yet he got 51.4% of the vote!

Thinking people see this as cause for alarm about a stolen election, not as a "fact" to be celebrated.

How do explain the double standard of the Bushites demanding a re-election in the Ukraine because vote results didn't match exit polls, yet they claimed at the same moment that exit polls (traditionally extremely accurate) were wrong in the U.S. elections? Rational people see something terribly wrong with this hypocrisy. Why don't you? Are you simply an "ends justifies the means" amoralist? Your claims to be a values-based man ring awfully hollow.

Brian,

I dare you to read this well-researched article and tell me that George Bush won the 2004 election fairly.

I promise that if you do so, you'll be forever known as the laughingstock of SI. I can guarandamntee it! :)
