The left does not want a complete withdrawal from the middle east. The left does not want to bury their heads in the sands of america and hope they leave us alone. It is the republicans that want to bury their heads and hide from the facts that some of our actions in the middle east have been less than exemplary. Actions that have brought about the current situation. From our handling of Israel and Palestine to our bungling of the Iraqi invasion and occupation. And don't give me that "The left thinks america is bad and deserves what has happened" crap. Just being realistic about world politics. jb
