Both the Newsweek and the Dan Rather stories were true. They just used the wrong sources. In both cases, other previous sources were well-known. The rightwing media uses single sources all the time, even when they know they're full of BS. Remember Drudge's Kerry-intern story? Or just about every single smearvet claim? All BS but in all cases some liar was willing to go on the record. Big difference between Bush's smear campaigns and CBS or Newsweek. The latter too never try to deceive anyone.
