Clapper,

<So how did you get to see the trophy?
Where was it being displayed?>

The school where I do some consulting arranged to have it there for a few hours (the Red Sox do this for high schools).

It was great - employees and the kids all had a chance to have their picture taken with it and there were poses much worse than the chicken dance!

Clapster,

Same deal here with the weather. (Hope it stops in time for
the camping trip this weekend.)

I belong to a listserv that is based out of Nova Scotia
and people have been talking about the rain for days.
Apparently, it is only a few mm. more rain to go to
break some all-time record for rain in May.. and it was
some outrageous amount,

I guess the other thing to be thinking about is,
as I've just posted a minute ago, the skeeter situation.
We've just had a couple of days of weather with temperatures
up around 70F. and it must have set up some kind of
"perfect storm" conditions for mosquitoes.
Never have seen the like in my life.
Closest thing would have been about 1965, when I was
a wee ankle-biter. We arrived at our cottage on
Victoria Day weekend (May 24), and my dad flapped his
coat in the air to clear the mosquitoes away from the
cottage door while we all tried to get through with
the food and luggage. I'd say the skeeters here are even
worse than that time. Pretty frightening!
(and the croc doesn't scare too easily!!). <g>
