(Yea, bush's Iraq war is over, yea that's it.) Whether it's a war, battle, conflict, insurgency, et al ... by any broad measure it's an abysmal failure. 20-30K terrorists [we prefer to call them insurgents at the moment] in Iraq alone. Global terrorism is up and we don't even count the terrorism in Iraq and Afghanistan. That would make the numbers really ugly. Three million illegals crossed our borders last year; we've banned butane lighters from airlines, but allow matches [ignoring that the shoe bomber was using matches.]; our port security is no better than it was; we don't check airline cargo; and we certainly wouldn't want the private sector to spend undue amounts of cash improving security at chemical plants and refineries. On the bright side, Halliburton is pulling in some dough and Bush has plenty of time for bike riding, holidays in Crawford, and playing kissy face with the Saudi Crown Prince. He's got his priorities; keep the hell out of the White House and let Rummy shoot down any incoming...but it's best to not be there just in case Rummy dozes off. jttmab
