Re: it is complete folly to think we can somehow appease religiously bigoted murderous mindset But there is a group of people who really believs that if we pull out of Iraq, these people will leave us alone. Not gonna happen. Even if we pulled out of Iraq, Israel and the entire ME, they would find a reason to hate us. Peace is NOT merely the cessation or absence of war. When Saddam ruled, 15,000-20,000 people were killed each year- no war but much death and oppression. If we left today, the islamofascists would take over and surely that would NOT be peace- again, no war but much death and oppression....and yet many people would have you believe our leaving would bring peace.
