Mike....do you mean that people can't read for themselves, and especially if they are going to travel abroad? The Government can not protect us from our own stupidity if we don't even bother to read....

Mike, The State Department's web site has a list of travel advisorys which are frequently updated. Any traveller who is of the inclination to look there is able to do so.
