Yes, I understand all that about buying and renting. When we do buy a house I might even be under the sink myself playing plumber. It's hard to be really invested in a rental house, although we did plant a lot of beautiful flowering shrubs and rose bushes, which we will take with us when we go. While your new roof must look stunning, I hope you have plenty of money left to travel and have fun also. A new roof is not that much fun after you've parked your car and gone inside.
