It always amazes me that SI which started out as a stockmarket chat group back in late 90s picked up some of these folks who trade or traded stocks but whose politics is so beyond the pale. Look at some of their names--stockman scott aka stockboy, slyvestor aka sillyvestor. I am on a stock thread over on IHUB which same sillyvestor was kicked off after repeated political posts and being a perpetual trading short seller on a fundy thread. He was equally disruptive there.
I think some ofthese guys were whats left of the daytraders from 2000. They became very dark after they lost their money on stocks like enron. Because they were dark, some made their money back shorting the market over the next few years. Now they are bitter again as they were wiped out with the rally from the 02 bottoms. They mostly seem ot be very immature as well. Mike

I wonder if Faultline ever looks at his old thread, and feels despair, because of the violent and uncivil Left that now inhabit it? Many of those folks who are of the rude, loud, anti-America POV, are the very ones who are the anarchists who in 1999 caused so much trouble with the WTO in Seattle, and other places in the country.

With the advance search feature, we can now go back and look at what some of the people said way before the 2000 election, in case some are thinking it's just they are "anti-Bush..."

No, they are Anti-America and try to pass it off as 'anti-Bush'....
