I can assure you they were despicable Establishment flaks and propagandists back then pimping a dirty war for LBJ and they haven't improved since. Independent and Newsweek should never be used in the same sentence. <grin> The Newsweek brouhaha is just a distracting charade. Neither the White House nor Newsweek managament take this too seriously, I 've no idea why they think the rest of us should.
