LoL! Yeah close, except I was walking against stopped traffic. They were red, they stopped, I was green, I walked. None of them moved and it was all good in da hood. Then some pinhead came flying out, further behind me down 1/2 a block --- parallel to me, perpendicular to the stopped traffic. Made a left turn where I was apparently invading her space as she was talking on the cell phone. All the stopped traffic got to see it happen inches in front of their windshields. And not a single one came forward, except the bar owner across the street who was setting up for lunch that morning, saw it all happen and said, "Dude, I just saw what happened..." Tried to get up and walk to the other side of the street but my legs weren't in the mood for that ... they weren't really talking to me at the moment. So I rolled myself like a log over onto the sidewalk. Quite nicely, the opposing stopped traffic still stayed stopped till I could get myself over. I don't really remember anything about the impact other than my brain had that internal conversation, "I've checked out the stopped traffic on all sides, they're stopped, I'm good to go, get a quart of milk from Safeway. Oh wait, there's an event happening right now, the world is spinning all around, and I'll bet in a few seconds things are really gonna suck."
