Gib,

Re: The main point is that hydrogen isn't a _source_ of energy, it's just a storage medium (and one that's fraught with problems). The big issue is where is the energy coming from.

From what I've come to learn, the storage issue is proving damn near insurmountable as well.

The whole "hydrogen" economy as proposed by George Bush is simply more of his baffle-gag used to propagandize the public into thinking Bush is leading when in reality he's caved in to the troglodytes running Detroit and the old-recyled-dinosaur oil industry.

Bush isn't trying to solve the looming crisis in Peak Oil. He's merely using the "hydrogen economy" ruse to kick the can down the road, while in the meantime his cronies in Detroit make $15,000 pure profit selling an SUV and refiners are making about 400% more pure profit today than what they did back in the bad old days of the Clinton administration. That's what the "hydrogen economy" is all about. Hydrogen? It's "jam tomorrow" and gouge the public today.

Hydrogen can be easily stored in the form of ammonia (NH3)...
