What a juxtaposition. Thanks for pointing it out. As with all eggs and chickens, one must ask whether the two are related, and how. The definition of terrorists would include people who attempt to use terror to achieve a goal. One common target for terror is tourism. As tourism dries up, economic benefits dry up, and disenfranchisement ensues. This become fertile ground for Muslim terrorist recruitment. Why would we send aid to a country with terrorists targeting our citizens? We are the most generous people in the history of the planet. Why wouldn't we help? We sent aid to Iran when they were recently devastated by earthquakes, and have done the same for other regimes that oppose us. We are Christian, and this means we do good works because our God calls us to do it, regardless of whether the recipients are our friends. Do you remember the story of the good Samaritan? The was a nasty road frequented by highwaymen, it was dangerous to be on, end even more dangerous to be helping people on. Recipients of assistance are notorious for biting the hand that feeds them.
