Anyone who wants to bring about lasting change should stop pushing their party line and instead focus on disallowing non-human (i.e. corporate, lobby, union, etc) contributions.

And end corporate personhood, too. I ain't a corp; they ain't peeples.

Exactly so.

It should be one person, one vote.

No corporation is a person.

Only voters(persons) are allowed to contribute to candidates.
Such contributions limited to VERY small amounts of money from any one person to any one candidate.

Federally sponsored funding of election campaigns with limited funding. A person may become eligible as a candidate upon achieving a stated number of signed, demonstrated to be legitimate endorsements from valid voters.

Lobbying from corporations limited to Position Papers from
Trade Organizations only, and limited to the number of times per year. Contributions of corporations to candidates totally illegal.

Something along those lines.

Plus voting machines with:

-- 100% certified valid software
-- same system nationwide
-- owners of the system: the Federal Government
-- paper trail
-- mandatory election audits (not just recounts on demand)

Namaste!
